About Us
Islamic community Outreach of Ocean City
ICOOC mosque was established in 2016 by a group of brothers after recognizing the need for a nearby mosque in Ocean City, Maryland, to support our Muslim community. Before ICOOC's establishment, the closest mosque for our community was over 30 miles away. They saw the potential of a storage unit, purchased the building, and converted it into a welcoming space for Muslims to worship and connect with their faith.
ICOOC Mosque continues to serve as an Islamic center for Muslims in the community, dedicated to upholding the values of Islam and providing a welcoming space for all. It provides prayer services, educational classes, family and children activities and events, iftar dinners, and more.
Our unit was spacious when our mosque first opened, accommodating a handful of people. Over time, our community grew, and the mosque continually reached full capacity. Today, we have outgrown our present space and have acquired land to build a bigger mosque to accommodate the growing Muslim community in our area. We are currently starting the design and building of our future mosque.
WE'RE BUILDING A NEW MOSQUE!
“Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
(Sunan Ibn Majah - 738)
Islamic Outreach of Ocean City has outgrown the building we presently reside in – we are EXPANDING! We have acquired land to build a bigger space, and are in the design and build stages of our new mosque.
With your generous help, we can reach our goal and raise the money needed to help our mosque continue to serve and support our growing community.
